Corteva’s Novel Insecticide Granted ISO Provisional Common Name: Fentiazoluron

On September 9, 2025, the Technical Committee on Pesticide Nomenclature of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) provisionally approved the international common name fentiazoluron for a new insecticide. The name has been officially published on the Compendium of Pesticide Common Names (CPCN) website.

The applicant for the common name is Corteva Agriscience. Any objections to this provisional approval must be submitted to the ISO 1750 Maintenance Agency by March 8, 2026.
