China’s Largest Potash Producer Races to Meet 4.9 Million Ton Annual Target

As autumn harvest season approaches, Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer – China’s largest potash production base – has entered a critical production acceleration period to achieve its annual target of 4.9 million tons.

The company is implementing a comprehensive strategy focused on production efficiency, safety assurance, quality control, and technological innovation. In the third quarter, key initiatives included securing mineral resources, stabilizing equipment operations, and boosting output through digital transformation.

Notable achievements include the successful optimization of domestic centrifuges and the implementation of automated dosing systems in Production Workshop No. 1, which accounts for over 70% of total output. The workshop’s innovation studio recently won provincial honors for developing a data-driven solution that intelligently regulates the cold crystallization process.

Strengthened safety protocols and full-chain quality management ensure both operational safety and 100% product qualification rates. Through cross-department collaboration and cost control measures, the company maintains tight coordination between production, supply, and finance divisions.

With the year-end goal in sight, Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer continues to uphold its mission as the cornerstone of China’s potash supply, striving to ensure that “more Chinese grain is nurtured by Chinese potash fertilizer.”
