Noposion Agrochemicals Co., Ltd. has announced a major new push into the blueberry business, signing investment agreements with the people’s governments of Yuanmou, Yongren, and Yanshan counties in Yunnan Province. The total estimated investment ranges from RMB 1.45 billion to RMB 1.65 billion, with planned construction covering more than 17,000 mu (approximately 1,133 hectares).
RMB 1.65 billion reinvested across three Yunnan counties
The investment is distributed across three locations in Yunnan Province.
Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Aimeizhuang Agricultural Group Co., Ltd., Noposion has signed an agreement with the Yuanmou County government to invest approximately RMB 800 million to RMB 1 billion (with an initial phase of RMB 300 million) to build a 10,000-mu digital blueberry modern facility industrial park. The project is expected to cover more than 10,000 mu, with the first phase to be completed within 18 months.
Separately, Yunnan Aimeizhuang Agricultural Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Noposion, has signed an agreement with the Yongren County government to invest approximately RMB 400 million in a small berry research and technology transfer project covering no less than 3,000 mu, with an 18-month investment period.
In addition, Yanshan Manyueberry Agricultural Co., Ltd., another wholly-owned subsidiary, has signed an agreement with the Yanshan County government to invest approximately RMB 250 million in an integrated blueberry project covering no less than 4,000 mu. The investment period for this project has not been specified.
Larger scale than previously planned
According to publicly available information, the latest investment was already under consideration last year, but both the investment amount and the planned area have since increased.
On November 25, 2025, Noposion announced a private placement to raise up to RMB 1.45 billion, primarily for the expansion of blueberry bases in Yunnan, the construction of an international small berry R&D center, and supplemental working capital, as part of its strategy to expand into modern specialty fresh produce. Of the funds raised, RMB 1.1 billion were to be invested in new blueberry base expansion projects, which involved building approximately 13,500 mu of new blueberry plantations in Yunnan with a total investment of RMB 1.221 billion over a two-year construction period, covering land transfer, farm facility construction, and seedling planting.
From pesticide leader to blueberry strategic crop
Noposion is one of China’s leading pesticide formulation companies. In recent years, the company has strategically expanded into the small berry industry, with blueberries as its flagship product. Since officially entering Yunnan to establish farms and grow blueberries in 2021, Noposion had invested more than RMB 4 billion in the blueberry industry as of September 2025. The company has completed the construction of over 60 farms and more than 40 cold chain processing centers across more than 10 prefectures and cities in Yunnan, including Honghe, Wenshan, Chuxiong, Pu’er, Baoshan, Dehong, Dali, and Xishuangbanna. It has developed into one of the world’s largest single-origin substrate-based blueberry production clusters. During the 2024–2025 production season, blueberry sales exceeded RMB 2 billion, making Noposion one of the leading blueberry sellers in China.
